This mural of Albert Einstein is found on the wall of Magnolia Science Academy, which is the High School I went to. The mural is located on 18238 Sherman Way, Reseda, CA 91335 and the photo was taken on September 10, 2018 4:28 p.m. In 2010 Magnolia Science Academy was praised by the U.S News and World Report due to high results in the California State Exam. Since the students exceled in their exams the principal decided to create a mural in honor of the students’ success. The principle got in contact with a famous San Fernando Valley artist named Levi Ponce. Levi Ponce was delighted to paint the mural for the school. Einstein was painted on the mural because he is an idol that the students look up to due to his genius knowledge in math and science. Einstein symbolizes the students’ future successes in academic studies. The mural is placed on the side of the wall next to the main entrance of the school so the rest of the community could see it. As the students enter their school the mural positively impacts them because they get inspired to be motivated in learning at school. This is the perfect location for the mural because every single person who enters or passes by the school gets a chance to see the mural and really appreciate it. The school is not the normal high school that people expect; it is a school with less than 2,000 students but it still means a lot to the community.
